We provide «simply Internet» – that is: DSL or FTTH Internet access anywhere in Switzerland, flexible and unattached without subscriptions or setup fees.
If the fiber optic network is already present in your apartment, you will also have a fiber optic outlet or OTO outlet (OTO = Optical Telecommunications Outlet). Typically, there is one such OTO socket per apartment, which is usually located centrally by the telephone socket or in the multimedia distributor.
Each fiber optic outlet is assigned a unique identification number (OTO ID), e.g. B.012.345.678.9, which is a unique number that allows you to identify your connection exactly and is written on the OTO outlet.
Usually there are 4 ports per OTO socket. These are numbered 1,2,3,4. After activation you will receive from us the number to which you need to connect your fiber optic cable or router.
Where to find MAC address?
The MAC address is located on a sticker on the underside of your TV box. It consists of 12 characters.
VDSL chosen
You have chosen a VDSL connection. With VDSL, the quality of the in-house installation is essential for a stable, reliable and fast connection. In newer buildings, this is usually not a problem; in older buildings, it may be necessary to replace the cabling between the Swisscom connection point of the building and the socket that the modem is connected to (twisted pair cable, no bridge taps). If necessary, you will need to have these changes made at your own expense.
